How the program works
1. Pitch your story
Send us your headline, a short summary of the angle, and the full draft. Strong pitches are timely, specific to Robertson County, and rooted in firsthand reporting or expertise.
2. Editorial review
An editor reads every submission. We fact-check, copyedit, and may follow up with questions. Most decisions land within a week.
3. Publication & byline
Approved pieces are published on RobcoDaily with your byline and short bio. We promote them across our channels and on Facebook.
4. Get paid
Compensation is set per piece based on length, originality, and reporting depth — typically $10–$25. We pay by PayPal, Venmo, or Cash App within 14 days of publication.
What we're looking for

- • Profiles of people, places, and small businesses around the county
- • Sports recaps, columns, and features (high school and rec leagues)
- • Opinion essays and letters tied to local issues
- • First-person community stories and historical pieces
Standards
- • Original work only — no AI-generated copy or material previously published elsewhere
- • Sources named and verifiable; quotes accurate
- • 400–1,500 words is the sweet spot
- • Disclose any conflicts of interest up front
